The project called The ghost ships has received the support from the ICAA for the realization of documentaries for 2008. This project is co-produced by Explora Films and Wanda Vision and directed by Carlota Nelson. The future documentary narrates the life of four men and a woman that were abandoned by their ships in Puerto de la Luz in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria....

Media, the European Union support programme for the European audiovisual industry, gave to Explora Films its Slate Funding incentive, the only one for a Spanish company on the current announcement of November 2007, to help financing six projects; four documental films (The Stigma of Cain, The lady of Cao, The sacred valley of Ventarron and On the other side of the mountains), a fiction movie (Altai) and an animated series (Rumbo and Chip)....

  Fifteen months after the end of the production, Penguins, the story of the birds that wanted to be fish is nominated for Best Nature Documentary of the Magnolia Award for the 14th Shanghai TV Festival (June 9th 13th, 2008). The documentary shot in Antarctica, Argentina and South Africa by the director Fernando Gonzalez Sitges has already been awarded last year at the International Wildlife Film Festival of Montana, USA....

Con motivo de la conmemoracin del doscientos aniversario del levantamiento popular del Dos de Mayo de 1808, Telemadrid emitir, el prximo 1 de mayo a las 22:00 horas, este documental producido por Explora Films y dirigido por Jos Manuel Novoa. El documental arranca con la explicacin de la situacin y las razones que desembocaron en el levantamiento popular, utilizando recreaciones dramatizadas. A partir de ah, se har un recorrido por las calles y lugares emblemticos de Madrid donde tuvieron lugar los acontecimientos ms importantes. Para su elaboracin, "Dos de Mayo. The Exploration and Adventure Club of Spain announced a few days ago their annual awards for the year 2007. The documentary series THE HEIRS TO THE ARK, produced by Explora Films and Instituto del Tropico, has been granted under the category of Expedition of the Year 2007 due to its vocation for adventure, science and divulgation, all in all for its contribution to the knowledge about the planet. During 7 months, the shooting crew has travelled to locations in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Madagascar, Centroafican Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, U.S.A., Russia, Germany, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Austria or Spain, among other countries. The jury recognizes the expedition, following the steps of the most important conservationist societies of the planet and the field work they perform in different African countries. The series, wholly shot in High Definition, is now into postproduction and delivery is expected by September this year....

ExploraFilms, in co-production with Telemadrid (the regional pubcaster from Madrid), has completed the shooting of a documentary about the upsurge of 1808, that happened on the 2nd of May. The film is directed by Jos Manuel Novoa. Actors and extras have performed the most important roles who took part in the rebellion. The shooting took place in Madrid, Aranjuez and Chinchn. Now, the editing and the sound process have started. The documentary will be premiered the next 2nd of May in Telemadrid, on the bicentenary of this important historical event....
