Starting on September 17th in A Coruña, Spain, the shooting will take place during the whole month of September in different locations of Galicia, where ancient archaeological sites can be found in Punta Couso, Queiruga, Porto do Son or Fervenza de Ribasiera. “The Celtic Legacy” is an ambitious production that will announce this singular culture known as “Galician castros”, comparing them with other sites in Europe such as Brittany, Ireland or Scotland. Through historical recreations, the participation of more than 300 extras and C.G.I. the audience will travel in time to the ancient Galician forests during the Megalithic and the subsequent Bronze and Iron Era until Romanization. Produced by Explora Films in collaboration with Televisión Española (TVE) and Fundacion Cidade da Cultura of Galicia, “The Celtic Legacy” is expected to be released in the beginning of 2011. Spanish producer Explora Films has just closed a deal with Tema Distribuciones to market their latest films in home video within the Spanish territory. Part of their most recent productions, such as “The Kingdoms of the Himalayas”, “Vietnam & Cambodia: The Jewel of the Mekong”, “Eastern Bazaars” or “Hunters” besides their Natural History specials “Elephants, the twilight of the giants” or “Crocodiles, the last dragon” are included in the agreement. The documentary “The Kingdoms of the Himalayas” directed by Juan Novoa and produced by Explora Films, has been selected to participate in the “Seven Civilizations” section for the IRAN INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL.
