The episode “Global Planet” of the documentary series “The Heirs to the ark” directed by Fernando González- Sitges and co-produced by Explora Films and Instituto del Trópico, has been awarded with the Best Documentary Film in the UNICAJA’S 26th INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE FILM FESTIVAL. Besides, the documentary “Journey to the Papuan Territory” directed by Jose Manuel Novoa and produced by Explora Films, has been awarded with the Guillermo F. Zúñiga Trophy of the Spanish Association of Film and Image Science in the same festival. The awards ceremony took place in Ronda (Malaga) on the night of October 23th, as the end of a festival that turned this city into the international capital of science films.
