As every year, Explora Films will be introducing its new titles at this TV content market: MIPTV 2015, which will be held from April the 13th to the 16th. MIPTV is one of the most important meetings for TV content sales in a global scale. Directed by Laura Casamayor, the film has been awarded Best Audiovisual Content in the “Natural Sciences” category. Last week, the village of Ronda celebrated a new edition of its Biannual International Science Festival, where 30 works were selected to participate as finalists in five different categories: Human Sciences, Natural Sciences, Exact Sciences, Medicine and Knowledge & Technology. Explora Films, the reference company of documentaries produced in Spain to the world presents its latest history, wildlife and travel programmes in Singapore, Dec. 9th to 12th. As every year does, Explora Films presents its new documentary films at MIPCOM, the main TV content market around the world, in Cannes, from October 13th to 16th . Explora takes this opportunity to premiere its new wildlife production: “The Lemur’s Island” (1 x 52’), which takes us to the astonishing island of Madagascar, in the heart of the Indian Ocean and let us discover its wonderful fauna, unique in the world. A ring-tailed lemur, a group of sifakas, giant chameleons and prehistoric birds of the size of an ox will be some of the protagonists of this story. As it does every year, Explora Films will be present at the latest edition of “Sunny Side of the Doc” in La Rochelle (France) on June, 23-26 to celebrate its 25th anniversary. “Sunny Side of the Doc” is one of the biggest event of the year in documentary and factual sector. This edition is expected to bring together more than 2,000 participants from more than 60 countries. Explora will attend the market this year with a selected project for the pitching session, which will be held on Thursday, 24. The chosen project is “Chillida, the Depth of Air”. “Chillida, the Depth of Air”. As it does every year, Explora Films will be present in Cannes to take part in the 51st edition of MIPTV, which will be held from 7 to 10 April.   MIPTV means Worldwide the year’s first big appointment on the audiovisual market. Explora Films is once again faithfully attending the main TV content market from the Asia-Pacific area: Asia TV Forum (ATF), which is held from 3 to 6 December in Singapore. Explora Films presents its latest wildlife and anthropological productions, as well as the company’s new projects. “Cuba: Life Shelter” (1 x 52’) and “Cuba: The Pearl of the Caribbean” (1 x 52’) are two one-off which outline two different profiles about the island. Explora Films attends IDFA 2013 (International Documentary Festival Amsterdam), to close International financing of the documentary project “Chillida, the Depth of Air”. IDFA is one of the major documentary Festivals in the International panorama and takes place from November 20th to December 1st. It is hold in Amsterdam every year and brings together the most important producers, filmmakers and TV executives in the worldwide documentary sector. Explora attends IDFA for the very first time to showcase its new documentary project: “Chillida, the Depth of Air”, a story focused on the artwork by this International sculptor.
