  En el Valle de Ventarrn se han hallado varios templos y necrópolis sagradas de la época formativa, pre cerámica. La importancia del descubrimiento estriba en la datación que ha realizado Beta Miami sobre unas cenizas encontradas: entre 4.000 y 5.000 años de antigüedad. Han aparecido murales, que representan extrañas deidades, nunca vista hasta ahora como el de un venado cautivo. También se han desenterrado paredes curvas decoradas con anchas rayas de colores blanco y rojo de singulares diseos. Estos son los murales más antiguos de América. Explora Films has been recognized as an example of innovative company by the International Forum of Digital Contents (FICOD) for being the only Spanish channel in Joost, an Internet TV platform created by the founders of Skype. The C.E.O. of Explora, Oscar Portillo, received directly from the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, Mr. Joan Clos, this award for the companys determination to have its productions on the new media platforms. Joost is a new TV on the Internet that allows users to screen the programmes they choose whenever they want and to interact with other viewers logged in. 14 Kilometres, coproduced by Explora Films and Wanda Vision and directed by Gerardo Olivares achieved the Best Film Award during the 52 Edition of the International Film Festival of Valladolid Seminici. The film tells the story of three Africans and their dream to reach Europe. But in order to achieve it, they will have to face serious difficulties on the road and will put their lives in danger in the desperate trial to escape from hunger and misery. At the end of the journey, they will have to cross the 14 kilometres that separates the African coast from Spain The International Jury also awarded 14 Kilometres with the Best Music Award, composed by Santi Vega and The Best Direction of Photography; by Alberto Moro. Both, Vega and Moro are usual contributors to Explora productions. The film will be theatrically released in Spain at the beginning of 2008....

The director, Fernando Gonzalez, will attend the premiere in Madrid. The Spanish Natural History Museum will screen, with the collaboration of the Spanish Association of Scientific Films (AECIC) and the Museums Friends Society, the documentary Learning the Game of Life, next October 18th at 7.00pm at the auditorium of the museum. The film, directed by Fernando Gonzalez and produced by Explora Films, explains the different adaptation processes of the species in the evolution and the influence of genetics. Through spectacular examples in animals and plants we will see how we have learnt the rules to play in the game of life. After the screening of the documentary, it will take place a forum with the director of the film and Oscar Soriano, Vice-director of Collections of the Natural History Museum....

Explora Films & El Deseo (the production company owned by Pedro Almovodar) sponsor the excavation works that are taking place in Sipan, under the direction of the expert archaeologist Walter Alva, the founder of the tomb of the Lord of Sipan. The discovery is considered to be an important character of the moche elite. The archaeologists have not reached yet the skull. A first layer of gold-plated copper objects is being removed from the tomb. In few days it is expected to reach a deeper layer. During the last week of Ausust Explora Films was present in China to introduce their latest productions and varied catalogue of documentaries in this international market of contents of film and television. Among the objectives of this market were the creation of new contacts with TV stations and Chinese distributors as to strength the networking of Chinesse buyers. "Wings for History: The Rescue of a Myth", documentary produced by Explora Films, The Infante de Orleans Foundation and Telemadrid, has been granted with the prestigious William Boeing Award by the Spanish university Rey Juan Carlos I, Boeing Spain and the trade website Aviaciondigital.com. This award recognises the spreading work in the field of communication of Aeronautics, honouring the director, Jose Manuel Novoa. The documentary tells the reconstruction and set up of a Policarpov I-16, a Soviet plane that fought during the Spanish Civil War for the Republican side. More than 90 works from 8 countries have participated in the contest. The jury was directed by Mr. Juan de la Cierva, creator and promoter the Heligiro Project and experts in Journalism and Aeronautics from Spain and Latin America....
